    • Description: A label for this account (e.g. Work Email)

  8. Make sure IMAP is selected at the top.

Verify the Port Settings

iOS sometimes sets incorrect ports during auto-detection. To check:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and tap your account.
  2. Tap Account, then scroll down and tap Advanced.
  3. Confirm the incoming server port is 993 with SSL enabled.
  4. Go back and tap the outgoing server. Confirm port is 587 with STARTTLS.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot verify server identity: Make sure the hostname is exactly my.mailbux.com with no typos.
  • Password incorrect: Re-enter your password. The username must be your full email address.
  • Emails not sending: Check that the outgoing server is set to port 587 with STARTTLS.
